Happy 2012!

Here’s to a new year!!  With a whole new year ahead of us, what do you imagine 2012 will be like for you?  If you’re like me, I get excited about the endless opportunities we have to make this year better than the last.  For the past few years, at the end of December, I make a list of all my goals for the upcoming year.  As I made my list for 2012, I realized it will be the year of many new and exciting challenges!  At the top, of course, there are several fitness related goals.  Here they are, just to name a few…
* Play on USTA tennis league (already signed up and playing on a friend’s team starting this month)
* Take intense fitness classes (just started taking Pure Barre classes thanks to my parents Christmas gift)
* Become a Fitness Nutrition Specialist (already purchased materials, now just need to study!)
Food for Thought: It is proven that the more you write down, the more you will accomplish.  Start this year off right by jotting down all your goals for 2012 so you can check each one off as the year goes by!  I’m not a big fan of New Years resolutions because I think they are cliche and too easy to break, but I do believe in writing down your goals. If you’re like most Americans, at least one of your goals will include joining a gym, losing weight or giving up a particular food/drink.  Capture all of them on paper and watch how much more you will accomplish in 2012.
