Nothing Tastes As Good As Being Fit Feels

So how did that Starbucks drink taste? Or that donut you ate for breakfast? Ever think about how much time and exercise it will take to burn off that treat? When you start to look at the time and effort it will take, does that dessert or snack seem worth it? This great link shows how much exercise we will have to do to burn off those empty calories!

I usually ask my clients, “So was it worth it?!” 272 burpees for one slice of pepperoni pizza, 87 minutes of crunches for a medium Starbucks mocha?? If we could keep that in mind, the cheats seem less enjoyable and you don’t want to face the guilt. Just as this picture says, the enjoyment is so short lived and then we’re just left with regret. Unfortunately that regret usually leads to more indulging and then all the sudden you’re left in a very bad cycle of emotional eating! Don’t fall victim to this frustrating cycle.

Choose today to stop eating those treats and empty calories and enjoy real food like sweet, fresh fruit. Drink more water. Fill up on lean proteins, complex carbs and healthy fats. You’ll feel so much more satisfied and healthy! Not to mention how much more fit you will be 🙂
