Healthy Holiday Tips

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go on Fox Good Day Carolinas Morning show and share several tips to stay healthy during the holidays. This is one of the toughest times of year to stay focused on fitness goals as there’s a party almost every night and delicious food at every turn. Talk about desserts…there’s cookies, cakes and treats in your face every day. BUT it IS possible to stay healthy right now, it just takes being prepared, planning ahead and saying “NO” to many of the temptations! Here are my top 5 tips:

*Eat before going to a party
*Focus on people, not the food
*Stay out of the kitchen and away from the food tables
*Bring an appetizer or side you can eat that’s healthy
*Drink Sparkling Water with lime instead of the alcohol
