Sweat + Work = Sweatwork

April 28, 2015

Do you work in an office or sit all day?? During my first career in finance, one of the things that made the office job so challenging was having to sit all day.  It killed me to see the bright sunshine outside, knowing I’d rather be out and about… and there I was sitting at my desk staring at a computer.  If I had some of the tips I’m about to lay out, I think it would have helped me survive the office.  BUT let’s face it, if you know me, you know I cannot sit for long periods and LOVE being active so I’m much better suited as a personal trainer and health coach;)

One of my favorites types of meetings now is to meet clients, potential clients and friends at the greenway or a park to talk and walk.  I’d much rather be active while talking through goals, meal planning and how to incorporate activity with my friends and clients while being active.  This appears to be taking off in the business world as well and why not?!  It’s a great way to connect with fellow coworkers by sweating together.  There was a great article on Fox News online about this new trend of “sweat working” that many businesses are doing– client events and meetings during a fitness class rather than meet at a restaurant/bar for drinks.  Can’t beat knocking out a workout and client meeting at the same time 🙂  Check out the article here for more ideas!
