Follow Your Butterflies

January 17, 2017

What’s 2017 for me?!  A year of being bold, following my dreams, transforming–following my butterflies!

Ever since starting my business in 2014, I can tell you there is nothing more FREEING than LIVING your dreams and letting go of the security of what’s comfortable, what you know and what’s easy. When I talk with people about life and business, I most often share that if you have a dream inside you, FOLLOW it! God gives us 1–yes 1 and only 1–life to LIVE and we need to make the most of every single day. I remember days where that was not the case. I was counting down hours to leave the office, get out for lunch or take a vacation. Now, I can’t seem to find enough hours in the day to accomplish everything for my clients, for myself/family and for the business. Amazing how my perspective on time has shifted as I now enjoy everyday and look forward to the opportunities I have!

So, first part of this theme for 2017 is continuing to follow bigger dreams and even those “butterflies” that make me nervous but I know they will be for my best, stretch me and help me grow. It’s about following those butterflies so I can fly higher and pursue God’s bigger plans for me. There’s no growth in our comfort zone. It’s nice to feel comfortable, but how is that growing us? My goal is to be bold, share more, help more people, take this business God has given me and allow Him to impact more people!

Second part of this theme is the transformation that happens from the early stages of the cocoon to the beautiful butterfly that emerges. This is a powerful picture of what is possible for me, for YOU and anyone desiring a change. How cool that a little speck can become an incredible butterfly?! It’s a process, a journey and takes time, but it happens!  My goal is to be walking proof of the transformation possible through God’s work and life HE gives us (Check out 2 Corinthians 5:17). I also want to help others experience that transformation–spiritually and physically!  I once was told I’m a catalyst for change. To me that means I get to help others realize there is hope and give them the motivation to get started, seek more in life and realize YOUR life, health and happiness are worth it!

Just like this picture that hangs in my house, “Don’t count the Days, make the days COUNT!!”
